Our lip balms feature a non-toxic blend of plant oils like sunflower seed and meadowfoam seed oils, alongside fruit oils such as watermelon seed, raspberry, and cranberry seed oils. We use only organic beeswax to ensure that what you’re applying to your lips is as natural as possible.
Carefully chosen therapeutic essential oils, such as Manuka, Blue Tansy, and Lavender, known for their presence in high-end skincare products, help soothe and heal lip issues effectively.
Here are the reasons why we choose not to use shea butter, linalool, and limonene in our lip balms:
1. Shea Butter:
Shea butter is a common allergen and can cause sensitivities, especially for individuals with nut allergies. We opt for alternative ingredients to ensure our products are safe for all users.
2. Linalool and Limonene:
Linalool and limonene are known allergens and sensitizers. Prolonged or repeated exposure to these compounds can lead to sensitization over time, where the skin develops an allergic reaction upon subsequent exposure.
By excluding shea butter, linalool, and limonene from our formulations, we aim to create lip balms that are gentle, safe, and suitable for a wide range of skin types, including sensitive skin.
PATCH TESTING :
Patch testing is crucial because even though we dilute our therapeutic essential oils, it’s important for individuals with serious eczema or highly sensitive skin to consult a dermatologist or healthcare professional before using products containing essential oils.
